Cooking Method | 
Step 1) In a pressure Cooker add the cleaned Thoor Dal, add enough water, shallots, garlic, green Chillies, turmeric powder, hing/asafoetida, chilli powder, salt to taste and cook for 4 whistles until the dal is fully done (100% cooked) we dont want any chunks
Step 2) To temper heat 1 tsp oil, once the oil is hot enough add mustard seeds once you hear the popping sound add dry red chilies , curry leaves and turn off the heat .Add the tempering to the cooke dal and mix well.
Note: 
You can adjust the consistency as per your taste.(for Chapathi make it a little thicker and for rice the dal tastes good when it is little thinner)
