Butter Murukku / Butter Chakli Recipe is a popular diwali snack crunchy and it is an all-time favorite tea time snack and I love to have this butter murukku with a cup of filter coffee ,the specialty of this Butter murukku is when you taste it it is going to melt in your mouth. Since it is made with a mixture of rice flour and besan flour it is also called as Rice Murukku or Besan Murukku.
Serving Size : 6 people
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Difficulty:
Quantity
INGREDIENTS
2 cup
Rice flour
1 cup
Besan / chickpea flour / Gram flour
3 Tbsp
Butter
1 Tbsp
cumin seeds or sesame seeds
Salt to taste
1 cup
water (1.25 cup approximately )
Cooking Method
Step 1) Into a large mixing bowl add the rice flour then the besan, butter, salt and also add in the cumin seeds and mix it really well
Step 2) Add water don’t add too much of water at once be very careful while adding water and knead it into smooth and firm dough
Step 3) Take a good amount of the murukku dough and add it to the murukku maker
Ste 4) Fry it in oil over medium heat till it is golden and all the bubbles settles down.
Note: The temperature of Oil should not be low or very high it should be at medium temperature if it is low then the Butter chakali will not be crispy ,if the oil is too hot then it will become hard and get browned soon.
