Ingredients for Vazhakkai Varuval
Raw bananas / Valakkai
|1.5 tsp||Chili powder|
|1 tsp||Garam Masala powder|
|1/4 tsp||Pepper powder|
|Salt to taste|
|1/8 tsp||Mustard seeds|
|1/2 tsp||Urad Dal / uluntham paruppu|
Step 1) Peel the skin of the raw banana and cut it into roundels. Do not cut them very thin as we do for banana chips it should be a little thick.
Step 4) Heat oil in a pan ,add mustard seeds and urad dal. mix it once and add the seasoned raw bananas, placing it flat on the surface of the pan. Cook until it turns nice and crisspy, once crisp flip it to the other side and cook until both the sides turn golden and crispy.
Our easy and delicious valakkai fry is ready to be served with rice. - 2 Unripened banana / Raw banana
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1.5 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/8 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Urad Dal / uluntham paruppu
- few Curry leaves
- Blanch the raw banana in hot water
- Add the seasoning
- Temper the oil
- Shallow fry then until fully cooked and crisp
