Step 1)
Roast Urad Dal (skinless black gram) and Chana Dal (Split Chickpeas) in oil on a medium heat until the Dal changes its color. Once the dal is halfway done add Hing, Sesame seeds, Curry leaves and red chilies and again roast it for a couple of more minutes. We will get a nice aromatic smell while roasting the ingredients.
After roasting all the ingredients allow the mixture to cook completely and then grind it to a fine to coarse powder according to your preference.I Love my Idly Power to be a little coarse so i always give it a few pulses to make it coarse.
