Kajada is a famous Indian bakery / Tea shop cake recipe made with few ingredients. This recipe is my childhood favorite recipe which is often served with tea in the evenings. Lets see how to make this vettu cake / Kajada recipe.

Quantity | Ingredients for making Kajada recipe |

1 cup | Maida (125 g) |
2 tbsp | Rava |
1 tbsp | rice flour |
pinch of | baking soda |
pinch of | Salt |
1/2 cup | Sugar (100 g) |
3 | Cardamom |
1 | Egg |
2 tbsp | Milk |
1 tsp | Ghee |
1/4 cup | Oil for frying |
Cooking Method |
Step 1) Into a Blender add sugar, cardamom and grind it to a fine powder. Then add 1 egg and grind it again to form a smooth batter.
Step 2) Now in a bowl add Maida, rava, rice flour, baking soda, salt, ghee, egg sugar mixture from step 1, milk and mix well. The batter will be slightly sticky. Keep it aside for minimum 15 -20 min. We get approximately 6-7 kajada.
Step 3) Heat some oil in a pan and apply some ghee in your hands and make small balls out of the batter and drop one ball at a time and cook on low to medium heat. It takes approximately 5 minutes to get cooked completely.
Step 4) Make sure they are cooked thoroughly, otherwise the batter will be raw at the center.
