Vegetable Puffs

Vegetable Puff is an all time favorite bakery snack which is enjoyed by all people. Homemade puff pastry adds extra layers and crispiness to the recipe. All we need is butter and maida to make this super layered puff sheet.



Makes          :   8-10 
Prep Time   :   20 min
Cook Time  :   20 min

Quantity Ingredients for making Veg Puff recipe
250 gMaida (2 cups)
125 g   Butter (unsalted) (1/2 cup +2 tbsp)
3/4 cup Water (approx)
1 tsp Salt

For Veg Filling
1 tbspOil
2 medium Onion
1 inch Ginger
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
2 tspChili powder
1 Tomato
1/4 cup Green peas
Carrot
required Salt
required Water
2 Boiled Potatoes
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 spring Curry leaves

Cooking Method


Step 1) Heat oil in a pan and add onions, crushed Ginger and saute it for a couple of minutes. Then add in the masalas - turmeric, garam masala, chili powder and give it a stir. Then add chopped tomato, green peas, carrot, required salt ,some water and cook until the veggies are well done.

Step 2) Now add in cooked and smashed potatoes, coriander leaves, curry leaves and turn off the heat.

Step 3) Place some of the stuffing in the puff sheat and seal it with water, brush some milk on top and bake it at 400 F / 200 C preheated Oven for 20 -22 minutes.

That's it our delicious Vegetable Puff is all ready to be enjoyed with a cup of hot coffee/ tea. Happy Cooking !!!
