|1/2 cup||Green peas|
|1/2 tsp||Cumin powder|
|1 tsp||Garam masala|
|1.5 tsp||Chili powder|
|2 tsp||lemon juice|
|1 tbsp||Coriander leaves|
|Assembling for 1 plate|
|1 tbsp||Mint chutney|
|1 tbsp||tamarind chutney|
|2 tbsp||finely chopped onion|
|1 tbsp||finely chopped tomatoes|
|1 tbsp||chopped coriander leaves|
Step 1) Wash and soak green peas overnight and then transfer it to a pressure cooker , to this add 2 potatoes, salt , required water and cook for 4 whistles on medium heat. Mash it well and keep it aside.
Step 2) Heat a tbsp of oil and add onion, ginger, garlic, green chilies and cook for a couple of minutes, then add the chopped tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and once its cooled grind it smooth.
Step 3) Now in the same pan heat a tbsp of oil and add the masala from step 2 and mix well, then add in turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chili powder(you can also add chat masala, amchoor powder to this) then add required salt and mix well. Now add in the cooked and mashed peas from step 1 .Cover and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
Step 4) Add water to adjust the consistency to suit your preference. Now add in juice of half lemon, some chopped coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
