Rava Pudding recipe

Rava Pudding is a simple yet delicious recipe made with just few basic ingredients which is readily available in every household. This simple recipe can be made using a Idli cooker , all we need is 10 minutes of our time and 35 minutes steaming. Lets see how to make this delicious Rava pudding.

Serves          : 10 pc

Cook Time  : 35 min

Quantity Ingredients for making Rava Pudding

For Caramel
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water

For Pudding 
2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Butter
1/4 cup Rava
Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla extract

Cooking Method


Step 1) Into a sauce pan add sugar, water and heat for some time. Once you get nice golden color turn off the heat. Transfer the caramel to pan and spread it all over the pan.

Step 2) Boil milk in a pan and then add sugar, butter and mix well. Then add Rava and cook for 3 minutes.Turn off the heat and keep it aside.

Step 3) Into a mixing bowl eggs, vanilla extract and beat well. Gradually add the pudding mix from step 2 and  combine well.Pour it over the caramel and cover it. 

Step 4) Add water to a Idli cooker or a pan and place a stand to elevate the pan. Keep the pudding pan inside and make sure the base of the pan touches the water. Steam for 30 - 35  minutes on medium low heat. 

Step 5) After 35 minutes check the pudding by inserting a knife, if it comes out clean then the Rava pudding is nice and ready. Cut it into pieces and is ready to be served.
