Bread Uthappam recipe

Bread Uthappam is a quick recipe which can be made in under 15 minutes, this is a bachelors friendly recipe which only requires few ingredients and unlike other dosa varieties it does not require any fermentation.Coconut chutney , podi and kara chutney goes excellent with his recipe.

Serves          : 5-6 pc
Prep Time   : 10 min
Cook Time  : 5 min

Quantity Ingredients for making Bread Uthappam
5-6 pcBread
2 tbsp Rava
2 tbsp rice flour
1/4 cup Curd
1 cup Water (or as required)
required Salt 

For topping
Onion, Carrot,green chili, coriander leaves
1 tsp Ghee or Oil

Cooking Method


Step 1) Into a mixing bowl add rava, rice flour, curd, water and soak for 5 minutes.

Step 2) Cut the bread into pieces and powder with a help of a blender. Add the rava mix from step 1 and blend it together, add water if required. (Batter should be semi thick), also add in a pinch of salt.

Step 3) Into a mixing bowl combine finely chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped green chilies, coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 4) Heat a dosa pan and pour a ladle of batter and then top it with onion, carrot mix from step 3 and finally drizzle dome ghee or oil and cook on low heat for few minutes. Then flip it to the other side and cook for 2 more minutes and take it off from the pan.
