Prawns Fry Recipe

Prawns Fry also known as prawns 65 is a spicy and a delicious recipe to start a non-veg lunch or dinner. Prawns are the delicacies of the sea world with amazing taste while having lower calories. Even though we can make lot of recipes with prawns like Prawns Ghee roast , Prawns pepper Fry , Prawns Roast the most easy recipe among them is this prawns fry recipe .This recipe is really quick and easy to make and it tastes absolutely delicious. This recipe has a crispy crunchy texture on the outside made with a flour mixture and the spices added to it makes your taste buds ask for more.

Quantity Ingredients for Prawns Fry Recipe
500 g Prawns / Shrimp
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tbsp Chili Powder
Green Chilies
10-12 Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp  Pepper Powder
1 tbsp All purpose flour / Maida
1 tbspCorn flour / starch 
1 tbspRice flour

Salt to taste

Cooking Method

Step 1)
In a mixing bowl add the cleaned and deveined prawns, season it with ginger Garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, chili powder, salt, pepper, chopped curry leaves and chopped green chilies.

Step 2)
To get a crispy outer layer add maida, corn flour, rice flour to get some extra crispiness , mix well and also sprinkle a few drops of water to bind the flour more efficiently.

Step 3)
Heat oil in a pan and add the prawns one by one and fry until they are nice and crispy on both the sides. Do not overcrowd the prawns leaves some space between each prawns for them to fry uniformly.
Once they are nice and crispy on both the sides drain the excess oil and take it off from the oil. Continue with the rest of the batches.

  • 500 g Prawns

    2. Sprinkle some water and mix well.
    3. Fry until both the sides are nice and crispy.
