Chilli Egg Bonda

Egg Bonda is a famous tea time snack of India, this delicious egg bhajji goes excellent with a cup of chai, to make this recipe even enjoyable i have made it little different and this recipe can be served as appetizer. 




Serves          : 4 
Prep Time   : 10 min
Cook Time  : 25 min

Quantity Ingredients for Egg chili recipe

For egg bonda
boiled Eggs
3/4 cup Besan flour / kadalai maavu
1/4 cup rice flour
pinch of Asafoetida
1/8 tspTurmeric powder
1 tsp Chili powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
required  Salt
required  Water
2 cupOil for frying

For Egg Chili
3 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
3 green chilies
2dry red chilies
1 spring Curry leaves
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
Onion
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tspCumin powder
1 tsp Garam masala
2 tsp Chili powder

Salt to taste
handful Coriander leaves

Cooking Method


Step 1) into a mixing bowl add besan flour,rice flour,chili powder,asafoetida,trmeric powder,garam masala,required Salt,water and form a semi thick batter.

Step 2) Cut the eggs into 4 and coat the batter and deep fry until crisp (make sure the eggs are dry otherwise the batter will not coat on the outside) 

Step 3) Heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds, green chilies, red chilies, curry leaves,ginger garlic paste. Then add finely chopped onions and saute until golden brown.

Step 4) Now add the masalas- turmeric powder,chili powder, garam amsala,cumin powder, required salt and cook until the raw smell is gone. Now add the fried eggs from step 2 and mix well. Finally add coriander leaves for garnishing and turn off the heat.

That's it our delicious Egg chilli recipe is ready to be enjoyed.
