Aval Kesari recipe

Aval Kesari  is one of the easiest yet delicious recipe to make. this recipe is quick and can be made with few basic ingredients live aval , jaggery, milk . This is very simple and easy to make and I guarantee you that this recipe will never fail on you. This is a perfect dessert for beginners because all we need is few basic ingredients and very less time.Lets get started. 



Serves              : 3-4

Prep Time       : 10 min 

Cook Time      : 20 minutes

Quantity Ingredients for aval kesari recipe
1 cup Aval(70 g)
1/2 cup Jaggery(60 g)
3 tbsp Ghee
10 Cashews
2 tbsp raisins
1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Water for melting Jaggery

Cooking Method


Step 1) Into a pan add jaggery, water and let the jaggery melt. Filter the syrup and keep it aside.

Step 2)  Melt a tbsp of ghee and roast cashews and raisins. keep it asides. In the same leftover ghee roast the aval for 3-4 minutes on medium heat and keep it aside.

Step 3) Boil water and milk in a pan. Once the milk boils add the roasted aval and cook until the milk thickens. Then add the melted jaggery syrup from step 1 and cook until it thickens, to it add a tbsp of ghee and mix well.

Step 4) Finally add cardamom powder, roasted nuts, 1 tbsp ghee mix well and turn off the heat.
