Biscuit Pudding recipe

Biscuit Pudding is a simple yet delicious recipe made with just few basic ingredients with is readily available in every household. This simple recipe can be made using a Idli cooker , all we need is 10 minutes of our time and 30 -35 minutes steaming. Lets see how to make this delicious bread pudding in pressure cooker. 

Serving size    : 6 

Prep Time       : 10 min 

Cook Time      : 30 -35 minutes

Quantity Ingredients for biscuit pudding recipe

For Caramel
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water

To grind
10 Marie gold Biscuit
1/4 cup Sugar

For Pudding Base
2 Eggs
1 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Milk

Cooking Method

Step 1) Into a sauce pan add sugar, water and heat for some time. Once you get nice golden color turn off the heat. Transfer the caramel to pan and spread it all over the pan. 

Step 2)  Into a mixie add biscuits, sugar, cardamom and powder it. Keep it aside.

Step 3) Into a mixing bowl whisk eggs and then add the biscuit mixture from step 2 (sieve and add to collect any lumps) . Then add ghee and mix well. Finally add Milk and mix until well combined. Pour it over the caramel and cover it with a lid. 

Step 4) Add water to a Idli cooker or a pan and place a stand to elevate the pan. Keep the pudding pan inside and make sure the base of the pan touches the water. Steam for 30 - 35  minutes on medium low heat. 

Step 5) After 35 minutes check the pudding by inserting a knife, if it comes out clean then the Biscuit pudding is nice and ready. Cut it into pieces and is ready to be served.
