Bread Chilli Recipe

Bread chilli is a simple and easy breakfast recipe enjoyed by kids . This can be made easily with few ingredients which is available at our kitchen. I have not used any sauces today .  Lets see how to make this recipe.

Quantity Ingredients fro Bread Chili
6 slice Bread
4 TbspOil ( 1 tbsp for toasting bread + 3 for masala)
1/8 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tbspChopped Ginger
5-6 Chopped Garlic
Green Chilies
4 dry red Chilies
1 springCurry leaves
2 Onions
2 Tomatoes
1Capsicum
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tspGaram masala
2 tsp Chili powder

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves

Cooking Method


Step 1) Cut the bread slices into small pies and toast the pieces on medium heat using some oil.Once they are nicely toasted take it off from the pan and keep it aside,

Step 2) Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Ginger, Garlic, Green chilies, dry red chilies, Curry leaves and mix well. Now add in 2 finely chopped onions and saute until golden brown.


Step 3) Now add the masalas - turmeric, chili and garam masala , mix once and then add in the tomatoes and cook until oil separates from it.


Step 4) Now add in capsicum and cook for another minute and finally add the toasted bread piecs and coat it well with the masala and cook for 3 more minutes. Finalla add coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
