Ingredients:
§ Rice flour - 2 cups
§ Tamarind water - 2 cups
§ Sesame oil - 5 tbsp or the usual oil
§ Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
§ Asafoetida powder - a pinch
§ Curry leaves - few
§ Red chillies - 2 or vuruga milagai
§ Channa dhall - 1/2 tsp
§ Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
§ Salt to taste
Method:
v First take the rice flour, add salt and
turmeric powder to it.
v Add tamarind water and make it a smooth paste.
v Heat oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters
add urad dhal, red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida powder and fry it
till golden brown.
v Now add the rice flour paste and
stir it continuously till the flour fully cooks.
v The paste will scramble if its fully cooked.

v Reduce the flame and sprinkle a hand
full of water and cover it with a lid.
v Again open and stir it. Let it be
on the flame for 3 mins. It has to look like sand colour .
