|Quantity||Ingredients for making Paneer Jamun|
|4 cups||Full fat milk (1 Liter)|
|4 drops||Pink food color|
|1-2 tsp||Rose essence|
|few||Rose petals (optional)|
Step 2) Now the milk is fully curdled, stain it through a cheese cloth , Rinse it with cold water to remove the lemon flavor and squeeze water thoroughly or you can also hang the paneer for 30 min.
Step 3) Transfer the paneer to a plate and knead the paneer for minimum 10 minutes to get good soft smooth texture.Then add pink food color and knead for 2 more min. If you dont knead the paneer then the rasgulla balls will breakdown while cooking ,so to prevent the balls from breaking and dissolving into syrup knead the paneer well until it starts holding shapes.
Step 4) Before we start making balls heat water in a big wide pot and add sugar to it. Keep it on medium - high and let the syrup boil.
Step 5) Now make small cylindrical balls without any cracks and add it to boiling water and cook
for 5 min on high heat. Then turn the heat to medium and cook for another 5 minutes, balls will absorb the sugar syrup and will double the size. Finally add rose essence and few rose petals and cook for another 2 minutes.The rasgulla will be soft and very fluffy .Switch of the heat and allow it to cool.
Step 6) Let the rasgulla soak the syrup overnight or minimum of 6 hours.
Our delicious fibrous and soft Rose Jamun is ready, allow it to absorb all the taste and flavor from the syrup and serve cold:) Happy Cooking!!!
