I decided to bake a beautiful birthday cake for my baby, I chose this rainbow cake for my baby's first birthday. I always call this cute delicious cake as Wow Cake because of its all the beautiful layers when we slice them.

Preparation Time : 30 min
Baking Time : 12-15 minutes for each layer
Step 1) Wet Ingredients:
Into a mixing bowl add eggs and whisk them nicely for 4-5 minutes. If you dont prefer eggs then use 1 cup of thick yogurt / curd instead of eggs.
Step 2) Now to the eggs add milk, Oil or melted butter, Sugar, Vanilla extract and mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 3) Dry Ingredients:
Sift all the dry ingredients together - all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix well with the wet ingredients.
Step 4) Baking:
Divide the batter into 4 and color them - I have used Red, Purple, Orange and Pink food colors. I have used four - 7 inch pan for baking the cakes, it takes approximately 12 -15 minutes at 350 F / 175 C in a preheated oven for a single cake. I baked all the four cakes separately .You can bake a single cake and cut it into 4 equal portions later. Once the cakes are done let it cool completely.
Step 5) Butter cream frosting :
Into a bowl add 400 gram of unsalted butter (room temperature butter) and beat until it turns bright white (takes approximately 5-10 minutes on medium high). Now to this gradually add powdered sugar and mix well. I reserved some of the butter cream before adding color and in the rest of the cream I added pink color for the outer decoration .
Step 6) Once done add milk and vanilla extract and mix well. Transfer it to a piping bag and set aside.

Place the first layer of the cake and apply some reserved white butter cream and then spread it evenly, then place the second layer of cake and then continue the same. Finally Cover the entire cake with the cream and I used Wiltom 1M tip to cover the cake with rosette add finally some sprinkles on the top.
Baking Time and Temperature:
- Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit or 175 Celsius
- Bake for 12-15 minutes each ( for 7 inch pan, I baked all the four cakes separately)
