Wheat Biscuit

Wheat Biscuit is made with all natural and healthy ingredients, instead of sugar I have used dates which is packed with nutrients. This is a simple recipe with basic ingredients, like wheat flour, dates and butter.This recipe can be made in few minutes and is a easy hunger fix recipe. Lets get started.

Prep Time   :   20 min
Cook Time  :   12 - 15 min

Quantity Ingredients for making Wheat Biscuit
1 cup  Wheat flour (150 g)
1 cup Dates (100 g)
1/4 cup Hot Milk
3 tbsp Butter (50 g)
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Salt

Cooking Method


Step 1) Chop the dates into small pieces and soak it in hot milk for 20 minutes.After soaking grind it to a smooth paste along with Milk. 

Step 2) Into a mixing bowl add unsalted butter at room temperature and whisk well for 3 - 4 minutes, make sure the butter is nice and soft.

Step 3) Add the dates paste to the butter and mix well. Now to this sieve wheat flour, baking powder , salt and mix well with your hands, do not over mix.

Step 4) Divide the dough into 2 and roll them flat, 2 cm thickness, Cut into circles and decorate the biscuits if you wish.

Step 5) Preheat the oven to 350 F / 175 C and bake the biscuits for 12 - 15 minutes. Let it cool before serving.

  1. Mam, butter is 3 or 4 tbsp? Also I m not sure how to measure butter. Biscuit came hard for me

  3. You can convert gms into tbsp in google search. it should be more than 4tbsp. Beat the butter well it should become light and airy then only the biscuit will come out well. Since it is made out of wheat you cannot expect as light as maida. Keep trying. It came out well only on my 3rd attempt. Hope this helps. Thank you.
