Roadside Kalan Masala

This roadside Kalan recipe is a famous street food recipe of Tamil Nadu made with cabbage and mushroom coated in a flour mixture and deep fried. This deep fried mushroom is then added to a onion tomato masala base and cook until thickened.

Quantity Ingredients for making Road side Kalan 
2 cup Chopped Cabbage (200 g)
2 cup Chopped Mushroom (200 g) 
1 cup Maida
1/4 cup Corn flour
1 tbsp Chili powder
1 tbspGaram masala

required Salt

For Masala 
2 tbsp Oil
onion
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
2 Green chilies

Curry leaves
3 Tomatoes
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Coriander powder
2 tsp Chili powder

1 tbsp Corn flour + 1 cup water

required Salt

Coriander leaves and chopped onion
