Paal Paniyaram recipe

Paal Paniyaram is a delicious and simple sweet recipe made with few ingredients like - Rice, dhal, coconut milk and sugar, this quick and simple evening sweet melts in your mouth and craves us to have more. Lets see how to make this delicious Paal paniyaram recipe.

Prep Time       : 2 hrs

Cook Time      : 20 minutes

Quantity Ingredients for Paal Paniyaram Recipe      
100 g Raw Rice (1/2 cup)
100 g Urad dal (1/2 cup)
pinch of Salt
500 ml Coconut milk(2 cup)
100 g Sugar (1/2 cup)
3 Cardamom
Oil for frying

Cooking Method


Step 1)
Wash and soak rice and dal / Ulunthu in water for 2 hours. 

Step 2) 
In the meanwhile prepare coconut milk by extracting milk from fresh coconut, Now to this add sugar, powdered cardamom and mix well until the sugar is dissolved. 

Step 3) 
Grind the soaked rice and dhal along with a pinch of salt to a fine paste. Do not add too much of water, batter should be semi thick(at the same time not too thick).

Step 4)
Heat oil in a pan and pour small balls out of the batter and fry until all the sides are nice and golden. Immediately drop the fried paniyaram into coconut milk and let it soak for 10 -15 minutes before serving.
