Bhaturae or so called chola poori in Tamil Nadu is a famous recipe all across India. This recipe is enjoyed by kids and all people. This hot ballooned roti with a side of channa masala is my all time favorite recipe. Lets see hpw to make this chole Bhatura.

2 cup | Maida (250 g) |
1 tsp | Sugar |
1 tsp | Salt |
1/4 tsp | baking soda |
2 tbsp | Rava |
2 tbsp | Oil |
4 tbsp | thick curd / Yogurt |

Cooking Method |
Step 1)
Into a mixing bowl add maida, salt , sugar, rava, oil, curd, baking soda and mix well.
Step 2)
Gradually add water and mix well to form a soft dough, it might be sticky at first but after kneading it doesn't stick to your hands. Dough should be very soft and should have more moisture than taht of chapthi dough.Cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 1 -2 hour.
Step 3)
Now after 2 hours divide the dough into 8 to 10 portions and start rolling, Do not roll it too thin, it should be slightly thicker than chapathi or poori.
Step 4)
Use a wide pan and heat up sufficient oil, oil should he hot. Fry the pooris in hot oil until they are ballooned and golden on the outside.
