2.5 cup | All purpose flour / Maida (300g) |
2 tbsp | Unsweetened Cocoa powder |
2 tsp | Baking Powder |
1/2 tsp | Baking Soda |
1/2 tsp | Salt |
Wet Ingrendients

2 | Eggs |
1.5 cup | Sugar (300g) |
1 cup | Oil (sunflower) 250 ml |
1 cup | Curd / yogurt 250 ml |
1 tsp | Vanilla extract |
1 tsp | Red food color |
For Cream | |
100 g | Butter @ room temp |
225 g | Cream Cheese @ room temp |
1.75 cup | powdered Sugar (350 gram) |
1 tsp | Vanilla extract |
Cooking Method |
Step 1) Into a mixing bowl add eggs and beat well. Then add oil, curd, vanilla extract and mix them together. Finally add red food color and make a bright red batter.
Step 4) Once the cake is cooled trim the cake to level it and save the trimmed pieces for decorating the cake.
Step 6) into a mixing bowl add butter (make sure the butter is at room temperature) beat it nicely with a electric beater for 2-3 minutes until soft and fluffy. Then add cream cheese (at room temperature) and beat it again until well combined. gradually add in the sifted powdered sugar and combine well to form a semi thick cream batter.
