Eggless Butter Cookies / 3 Ingredient Butter Cookies

Written By Angela Steffi on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 | 10:53:00 PM

As the name tells this simple butter cookie is made with just 3 ingredients - all purpose flour, sugar and butter. This recipe can be made in few minutes and is a easy hunger fix recipe. Lets get started.

Serving Size           : 40 Cookies

Preparation Time  : 5 minutes

Cooking Time        : 15 minutes
Difficulty:
Quantity Ingredients for Butter Cookie Recipe
1 cup Butter (Room temperature)
1 cupPowdered sugar
2 1/4 cupAll purpose flour / Maida

Cooking Method

Step 1) Into a mixing bowl add softened butter ( make sure the butter is at room temperature - nice and soft) and whisk well until pale and fluffy.

Step 2) Then add powdered sugar to it and mix it again until well combined. (You can also use electri beater to seep up the process. Dont forget to scrape the edges.

Step 3) Now add maida / All purpose flour to it and mix well without any lumps ( use your hands for mixing)

Step 4) Now transfer the dough to a working surface and roll it into thick rod. You can also spread them into sheet of 1/4 inch thickness and cut them with a cookie cutter to get your favorite shapes.
I just used a knife to cut them into squares.

Step 5) Transfer them to a baking pan lined with parchment paper (make sure to leave some space in between the cookies) and bake it for 13-15 minutes @ 375 F or until slight golden brown.
It may seam a little soft at first but once it cools down it thickens, Allow it to cool completely.
A well baked cookie should have nice crisp to it.

Once the cookies are cooled, store them in a air tight container / Cookie jar. Happy Butter Cookies.
