Choco Lava Cake Recipe

Choco lava cake is an excellent dessert to impress your loved ones. This is a mouthwatering recipe in which chocolate lava is surrounded by a delicious chocolate cake. As soon as we crack it open lava busts out and brings smile to our loved one's face. I cant wait to make this recipe, Lets get started. We are going to make this recipe both in oven and in Pressure cooker. 
The secret in making this recipe is we need to bake this cake at high temperature for a short duration.




Serving Size            : 4

Preparation Time  : 10 minutes

Cooking Time        : 10 -12 minutes (Cooker)
                                : 8 -9 minutes (Oven)


Difficulty:
Quantity Ingredients for Choco lava Cake
100 g  Semi sweet chocolate or milk chocolate 
4 tbspButter (50 gram) 
1/2 cup Maida (65 gram)
1/2 cup Sugar (powdered) 100 gram
1/4 cup Cocoa powder (25 gram)
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/8 tsp Baking soda
1/8 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Milk
2 tbsp Curd
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Cooking Method


Step 1) Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler. I have taken milk chocolate, we can use both semi sweet and bitter sweet chocolate, Dairy milk also works just fine.


Step 2) In a mixing bowl sift flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt . Then add in milk, curd and vanilla extract. Mix well. Finally add the melted chocolate and combine well.




Step 3) Now lets prep the ramekin, we can also use deep saucers to make this recipe. First grease the ramekin with butter and then sprinkle flour on all the sides and tap it to get rid of excess flour. Pour the batter into the prepared bowl, do not overfill, until 3/4 of the bowl.


Step 4) Oven :
Preheat the oven to 450 F and bake for 8 -9 minutes. Baking time is little hard to be exact on this recipe, based on the size of the pan, amount of batter , oven temperature the baking time may vary, If we bake it for 1 more minute then the cake will be fully formed and there will not be any lava, similarly if we take it before one minute then the outer cake will not be formed .So dont be worried for the first time, next time we can perfect the recipe by adjusting the time.


Step 5) preheat the cooker with a layer of salt and a wire stand to elevate the pan from touching to the salt for 15 heat on high heat . Place the ramekin and immediately close the lid and cook for 10 -12 minutes on medium-high.  


Step 6) Once its slightly cooled sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut it open to enjoy the chocolate lava. Please do try this recipe at home and share it with your friends and loved ones.
