|1/2 cup||Javvarisi / Sago (100 gram)|
|2 cup||Water (500 ml)|
|2 cup||Milk (500 ml)|
|1/2 cup||Sugar (100 gram)|
|10 strand||Saffron (optimal)|
Step 1) Soak Javvarisi in water for 1 hour, Soaking in water speeds up the cooking time of Javvarisi , otherwise it takes longer duration to get cooked completely. Add water to a pan and bring it to a boil. Once the water boils add the soaked Javvarisi and cook until transparent.
- Once the payasam is cooled or refrigerated it becomes thick so add hot milk to it before serving to get that proper consistency.
- You can also use Condensed milk to enhance the taste.
