Lunch Box 2 / Egg Chapathi,Banana pockets

This is the second lunch box in our lunch box series and today we will look at the recipe to make Egg Chapathi , Banana bread pockets .

Difficulty:

Quantity Ingredients for making Egg Chapathi
1.5 cup wheat flour (dough for 4 chapathi)
3 Eggs
1/2  Onion
1/2 Tomato
2 Green Chilies
1/2 tsp Chili powder

Coriander leaves

required salt

Pepper
Quantity Ingredients for making Banana bread pockets
1 tsp Butter
4 Bread slice
2 tsp Jam
1 Banana
Quantity Others
handful Cooked chickpea (Sundal)
handful Almonds
handful Grapes

Cooking Method


For Egg Chapathi:

Step 1) In a bowl combine wheat flour, salt and gradually add water and start to knead.Knead it into a very soft and smooth dough. After kneading Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes

Step 2) In a bowl add the eggs and beat it nicely then add the rest of the ingredients  -finely chopped Onion, Tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves, chili powder, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine everything together.

Step 3) Now after 15 minutes divide the dough into 4 and start to roll the dough.

Step 4) Heat a tawa and grease it with oil,  Place the roti and again apply some oil on the top and immediately flip it to the other side. Pour 1/4 of the beaten eggs on to the top of roti and spread it all over the sheet.Cook it for few seconds and flip it to the other side and cook for another few seconds until you see nice golden spots on the bottom side.

Step 5) Roll the egg chapathi and cut into wheels.

For Banana bread pockets:

Step 1) Cut the edges of the bread and roll them flat.

Step 2) Spread a thin layer of jam and then pace cut banana slices on top and cover the bread and seal the edges.

Step 3) Toast the bread in a tawa and cut into 4 pieces.

That's it our delicious colorful lunch box is ready to be enjoyed.Happy Cooking !!!
